1. Choose the Right Season

    You can enjoy views of Mt. Fuji from the window of the Shinkansen if the weather conditions are good.

    The rows of seats on the Shinkansen are labeled A, B, C, D, and E from the seaside to the mountainside. To photograph Mt. Fuji, reserve seat E. If you cannot make a reservation, you can also take photos from the boarding gate.

    Mt. Fuji is near Shin-Fuji Station. When traveling from Osaka to Tokyo, the best time to take photographs is approximately 1 hour and 40 to 45 minutes after departure. When traveling from Tokyo to Osaka, the timing is around 45 minutes after departure.
